Dr. Chimere Stanley Anabanti, University of Pretoria, South AfricaDr. Anabanti is a senior lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, University of Pretoria, and a visiting professor at the Department of Analysis and Number Theory, TU Graz, Austria. He obtained his doctorate from Birkbeck, University of London, specializing in computational group theory. His research has earned him prestigious awards, including the Birkbeck PhD Prize award and the University of Pretoria Exceptional Young Researchers Award. Dr. Anabanti has published several research articles in top journals and disproved significant conjectures including, the Zarrin’s conjecture on sizes of finite nonabelian simple groups in relation to involution sizes.
An active member of the European and Austrian Mathematical Societies, Dr. Anabanti also serves as a reviewer for leading journals, including Communications in Algebra and Open Mathematics. Previously, he was a lecturer at the University of Nigeria and a postdoctoral fellow at TU Graz, where he developed advanced modules for postgraduate students. At Pretoria, he oversees departmental publications and website management while continuing his research and teaching at the University.
