Who am I?

My name is Amy de Sousa and I am the Youth and Family Pastor at St. Philip's on-the-hill Anglican church in Unionville Ontario. I am also the York Simcoe Area Youth Coordinator for the Holland and York Deaneries. I serve on the Bishop Youth Ministry Committee (BYMC).

My background is Missionary Alliance, Pentecostal and Anglican.

I am an Ontario Certified Teacher and have completed the Special Education Specialist qualifications. I am also TESOL certified and have taught ESL overseas. I entered into the ministry in 2018, as a full time pastor.

I enjoy writing curriculum for VBS camps and children & youth church programs. I created a York Simcoe online sunday school through the lockdowns which ministered to children all over the Diocese. I have been a speaker at the Toronto Children's Ministry Conference and lead online workshops for VBS camp planning.

I wrote this devotional because:

  • I love children, youth and families

  • I couldn't find a Lent resource for youth and families that I liked

  • I love to teach and write

  • I felt lead by the direction of the Holy Spirit to create a resource for Anglican youth and families.
