“In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn.”
- Phil Collins
I'm Vanessa Lemon, an adaptable and inquisitive instructional designer. I am passionate about uniformity, strategy, efficiency, and encompassing the many ways that learning can utilize those characteristics, as well as improve them!
I have transpired my education experiences and began my instructional design journey by engaging in the Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA) program from Learning Strategy and Design. I quickly favored the ADDIE and SAM models and the intention behind them. I thrive off the quality assurance aspect and appreciate the continual accountability that the processes contribute. I am thrilled to establish my career as an instructional designer with an organization that understands improvement comes from reflection and application.
My curious nature is always questioning and always learning. I thrive off of new information and experiences and appreciate the variety that this field can provide. I welcomed the quote above, "In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn," because of what instructional design has to offer me. Instructional design allows me to create learning solutions while feeding my curiosity and desire to learn more about the endless information around me. I specialize in analyzing content and progressions, brainstorming engaging interactions, maintaining visual design and branding consistency, and securing thorough quality assurance. My specialized skills allow me to ensure that I am designing and developing learning solutions that will engage learners and align with an organization's goals.
When I'm not busy with instructional design, I can be found spending quality time with my husband and four children at youth sports activities and adventuring outdoors.

This Vyond animation features a customized avatar and personal narration. This 7 minute video was a development project, during a program trial, to exercise my skills and experiment with the creative features of the Vyond program, while also providing some insight into my personality, skills, and experience.
If I had more time with this program and could do this project again, I would modify the information into smaller chunks to reduce the video to 5 minutes.
