Léim Irish Dance is a student-led performance group dedicated to sharing Irish dance and culture with the University of Michigan. Started in 2000 by five UM students, Léim became the first Irish Dance group at The University of Michigan and has since progressed to a full-fledged performance group, gaining an official name and recognition both on and off campus. Léim seeks to create an opportunity for students to continue dancing in college and teach those who have never had the chance to do so before. Each year we put on an annual show at the Mendelssohn Theater, along with participating in other multicultural events on campus. We also participate in intercollegiate Irish dance competitions against other teams across the country. All skill levels are welcome!!!!!

Please consider supporting our organization so that we can continue to perform. It is very expensive to put on an annual production and we regularly do outside performances for free. All donations will be used to help put on performances, including the purchasing of costumes, rehearsal space, shoes, and more. Funding is also used to ensure that all members can afford the expenses of the club.
Paypal is the preferred way of donating. You can use the link above or search @leimirishdance
If you do not have Paypal we accept cash or check. Talk to a member or email irish.dance.leim@gmail.com for details
