These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Legato Read mobile application ("Legato Read," "the app," "we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, accessing, or using Legato Read, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the app.
Legato Read is a language-learning application designed to help users build consistent reading practice through daily reading content and related learning features.
The app may provide reading content, saved sentences, progress tracking, completion records, reminders, and other language-learning features.
Features and content may be added, changed, or removed as the app evolves.
You may use Legato Read only in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.
You agree not to:
Use the app for unlawful purposes
Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the operation of the app
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems
Reverse engineer, copy, modify, or redistribute the app except where permitted by applicable law
Use app content for unauthorized commercial purposes
Reading passages, sentences, translations, explanations, and other learning materials provided through Legato Read are intended for educational purposes.
We make reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate content, but we do not guarantee that all content will be error-free, complete, or appropriate for every learning purpose.
Legato Read does not guarantee any particular language-learning result or level of proficiency.
Legato Read may provide content based on the current day or the user's learning activity.
Availability of previous reading content may be limited depending on the features provided by the current version of the app.
Users may be able to save selected sentences or other supported content for later review.
The availability and retention of locally stored information may depend on the device, operating system, app version, and other technical conditions.
Legato Read may offer optional paid features under Legato Read Plus.
The features included with Plus may be described within the app before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated on the purchase screen, a Lifetime purchase is a one-time purchase rather than a recurring subscription.
A Lifetime purchase provides access to the applicable Plus features for as long as those features and Legato Read remain available and supported, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
Payment, billing, refunds, and related transactions are subject to Apple's applicable terms and policies.
Legato Read does not directly collect or process your payment card information.
Where supported, previously purchased eligible features may be restored using the Apple account associated with the original purchase.
Because purchases are processed through Apple's App Store, refund requests are handled according to Apple's applicable refund policies and procedures.
We do not independently process App Store refunds.
The free version of Legato Read may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob.
Advertising availability, frequency, format, and content may vary.
Where applicable, users may be provided with privacy or tracking choices in accordance with platform requirements and applicable laws.
Legato Read may offer optional notifications, including reminders related to reading practice.
Notifications can be enabled or disabled through the app or your device settings.
Delivery of notifications is not guaranteed and may depend on device and operating system conditions.
Legato Read, including its software, design, branding, original learning content, graphics, and other materials, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as permitted by law or expressly authorized by us, you may not reproduce, distribute, sell, license, or commercially exploit protected Legato Read materials.
Legato Read may rely on third-party platforms or services, including Apple App Store services and advertising providers.
Use of those services may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the applicable third party.
We are not responsible for third-party services beyond the extent required by applicable law.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Legato Read when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, technical, legal, or product-related reasons.
We do not guarantee that every feature or piece of content will remain available permanently.
Where applicable, changes affecting purchased features will be handled in accordance with applicable law and App Store requirements.
Legato Read is provided for general educational purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties regarding uninterrupted availability, complete accuracy, or specific learning outcomes.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, rights, or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Legato Read and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of or inability to use the app.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Your use of Legato Read is also subject to the Legato Read Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled in connection with the app.
We may update these Terms when Legato Read's features, services, or legal requirements change.
The updated Terms will be made available through the applicable page or service, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly.
Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These Terms are between you and the operator of Legato Read, not Apple Inc.
Apple is not responsible for Legato Read or its content, except for obligations Apple may have under its own terms or applicable law.
Your use of Legato Read must also comply with the applicable App Store terms and conditions.
