Towards the end of the show, Professor Callahan forcefully kisses Elle while the two are alone in his office. In shock, she immediately slaps him across the face. Callahan says "I thought you were smarter than that", and fires her for not accepting his advances. Elle asks him if her beauty was the only reason she was given the internship, and he replies with a dismissive "It's been nice working with you, Miss Woods. You can show yourself out."
Vivian and Warner witnessed the kiss, but Vivian pushed Warner out of the way before he could see Elle slapping the professor. After Elle leaves Callahan's office, Elle runs into the couple and Warner mockingly greets Elle saying "Well hello, Marilyn. It looks like you'll make partner now. I mean, you really earned it." Vivian tells him to shut up. As Warner walks away, Vivian silently stares at Elle, bewildered by the events that just took place. Elle is left alone feeling sad, confused and used, believing she will never be taken seriously.
The ‘me too.’ movement was founded in 2006 to help survivors of sexual violence, particularly Black women and girls, and other young women of color from low wealth communities, find pathways to healing. Their vision from the very beginning was to build a community of advocates, driven by survivors, who will be at the forefront of creating solutions to interrupt sexual violence in their communities.

This movement supports survivors of sexual violence and their allies by connecting survivors to resources, offering community organizing resources, pursuing a ‘me too’ policy platform, and gathering sexual violence researchers and research. The work is survivor-led and specific to the needs of different communities.
