It's fairly well-known that getting into Harvard Law School is not an easy feat. Although our darling Elle Woods would beg to differ ("What, like it's hard?"), the acceptance rate for HLS in 2013 was a whopping 15.6%. And that number has noticeably decreased since. However, it should be noted that the acceptance rate to get into Harvard University is even smaller: 4.6% as of 2018.
According to Harvard Law's own website on admissions, the class of 2021 had a number of 7,578 applicants. Only 968 were given admission offers. The percentage that were offered admission was 12.8%.
The class of Harvard Law 2021 is made up of:

- 11% hold advance degrees
- 82% at least 1 year out of college
- 64% 2+ years out of college
- 173 undergraduate schools are represented
- 40 states represented (plus D.C.)
- 17% international students
