2026 Girls’ Soccer

The coaches and school administration would like to welcome you to the 2025 soccer season. The purpose of this document is to provide athletes and parents/guardians with information about the soccer program and to help set expectations for the Legacy High School Girls’ Soccer Program.

Program Philosophy

Playing Time

Players are expected to attend practice, play with a focused effort, and be in good standing with school administration and coaching staff. Assuming these things, the follow will guide playing time:

Communication with Coaches

Players are encouraged to communicate directly with the coaching staff through the season. One of our goals is to support student athletes advocating for themselves! Any questions about coaching decisions should come directly from the players. Parents are always welcome to contact the coaches to set up meeting. We would be happy to chat with you about most issues pertaining to your daughter. The topics that we will not discuss with parents is game tactics, other players and playing time.

Eligibility

Players are responsible for maintaining their eligibility and for knowing the eligibility requirements. Players must be registered for at least 2.5 credits in the semester in which they are competing and cannot have a failing grade in more than 0.5 of their credits. Players must attend school on the day of a match in order to compete.

Eligibility is checked weekly in the athletic office. A student who has a failing grade in greater than 0.5 of her credits will be ineligible for the next full week of participation (Monday- Saturday).

Training

Lettering

To receive a varsity letter, a player must be academically eligible, demonstrate a team-first approach, play with determination, be accountable for her actions, and positively impact the team throughout the season. The athlete must play in 8 halves of varsity soccer and complete the season in good standing with the administration as well as the coaching staff to letter.

Transportation

If a bus is provided, all athletes are expected to ride the bus to and from the game.  If an athlete misses the bus to a game they may not be allowed to play in that contest.  If a player cannot ride the bus home they must be signed out and they can only be released to a parent or legal guardian (this does not include teammates’ parents, older siblings, uncles, etc.).  New in 2011, it is important to understand that Adams 12 will not allow the bussing of students to any games/events within a 10-mile radius between Monday and Friday, and will not allow bussing at all to any distance on Saturdays.  As a result of this new policy, player and parent cooperation for transportation purposes will be critical.  Coaches are not permitted to arrange rides or carpools, so this effort will need to be thought out in advance by players and parents.  Cooperation between players, teammates, and parents will be critical as well as advanced planning.  Tardiness or absences for transportation difficulties will not be considered acceptable and will have consequences.

Fan Gear & Training Gear

Players are required to wear specific training jerseys to all training sessions. Training jerseys are available for direct purchase through our fan gear affiliate.

All game uniforms are property of Legacy High School. Players are responsible for properly using, safekeeping and returning game uniforms at the end of the season. If any uniforms are lost or damaged, the player is responsible to replace the item.

Fundraising

Fundraising is a program-wide effort. Fundraising efforts support a continuous uniform cycle, training equipment and additional coaching staff, training t-shirts, senior awards and the cost of the program’s award banquet. Additional fundraising details will be made available as the season approaches.
