Leftovers...again ("the App") is developed by Incolor Where Available. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. This is used solely for authentication and personalization.
Food items data: The food items you add (names, quantities, expiration dates, categories) are stored locally on your device and, for Premium users, in our cloud database (Google Firebase) for backup and sharing purposes.
Usage statistics: We track consumption and waste statistics (items saved, items wasted, CO2 impact) to provide you with personalized insights. This data is stored locally and, for Premium users, in the cloud.
Recipes: Recipes generated by AI are based on your food inventory. We send food item names to Google Gemini through our secure cloud infrastructure to generate recipes. No personal information is included in these requests.
Device information: We may collect anonymous device information (device type, OS version) for crash reporting and app improvement.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Provide and maintain the App's functionality
Sync your data across devices (Premium users)
Enable fridge sharing with other users (Premium users)
Generate personalized recipe suggestions
Display relevant advertisements (Free users)
Calculate and display your environmental impact
Send expiration notifications
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
Google Firebase: Authentication, cloud storage (Firestore), and analytics.
Google AdMob: Advertising for Free tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Google Gemini: AI-powered recipe generation. Only food item names are shared through our secure Cloud Functions; no personal data is transmitted.
Open Food Facts: Product information when scanning barcodes. No personal data is shared.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted database. Premium users' data is additionally stored in Google Firebase servers located in the EU/US. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared only in the following cases:
With users you explicitly invite to share your fridge
With third-party service providers as described above
When required by law or to protect our rights
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access your data at any time through the App
Delete your data by using the "Reset All Stats" feature or by deleting your account
Export your data by contacting us
Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings
Withdraw consent at any time by deleting the App
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
