When I found out that the incumbent Trustees voted not to keep PfISD schoolchildren safe by refusing to follow state law I knew that it was time for someone to run who would make school safety Priority No. 1. As the father of a PfISD graduate, I knew it had fallen to me to be that voice.
When I found out that the incumbent Trustees voted not to keep PfISD schoolchildren safe by refusing to follow state law I knew that it was time for someone to run who would make school safety Priority No. 1. As the father of a PfISD graduate, I knew it had fallen to me to be that voice.
My first priority will be to ensure the school district complies with state laws. Implementing the state-required changes to keep school children safe should be a no-brainer.

When elected, I will make absolutely certain our school law enforcement officers and teachers have the adequate training to keep our kids safe. I will also engage the community in that effort: Did you know that Pflugerville has the highest percentage of veterans of any city in Travis county, more than 10% of the city's workforce? These men and women are trained in how to protect our country and have taken an oath to do it. Why not invite them to keep a watch on our hallways?

There are numerous other ways I will keep PfISD campuses safe. Parents and guardians deserve full access to their students' records. I will demand full transparency when it comes to employees caught endangering children -- no more "hiding behind the process." I will work to make sure parents are welcome in the hallways and viewed as full partners in education.

As a former U.S. Army Infantry Officer, I learned more than I ever expected to when it comes to government work! During my enlistment, I learned how to accurately prepare the reports and other paperwork required to keep every level accountable to the chain of command and to the taxpayer.

I'm currently enjoying retirement, spending much of my time reaching new voters and teaching the next generation about history. Before retirement, I operated the Austin locations of the Hot Jumbo Bagel company. I'm a Precinct Chairman for the Travis County GOP and am excited to have been endorsed unanimously by my party!

PfISD trustees are elected at-large, meaning all registered voters living within PfISD boundaries may vote for each place.
Early voting will be held April 22-29, and election day is May 3, 2025.
