Hey folks! I'm back, Ch 9's story will be aligned with the comic chapter 49.
Even though it was Friday, since she had to go to work tomorrow, it felt like it was still only Thursday… The week had felt abnormally long and was still longer. As soon as Min-kyung walked through the door, felt the soft carpet under her feet, and took her jacket off to hang up, her cell phone chimed with a message notification.
It was from Se-ah [Min-kyung, when are you off work? Are you working overtime again tonight??]
[I just got home, everything not finished is a problem for tomorrow Min-kyung, hahaha]
Se-ah responded with a gif of a penguin toasting a beer. [Ooooh! I’ll buy some beer!]
[Uh, and Mr. Seungmuk?]
It was Friday night, so she assumed Se-ah had a date since last weekend she had been on a business trip.
Min-kyung started typing but was cut off by Se-ah not answering and only responding [Order Chicken!]
[Yup]
Min-kyung ordered Se-ah’s favorite chicken through the delivery app, maybe since it was Friday evening, the estimated delivery time was a long 50 minutes. Min-kyung took off the rest of her outerwear and went into the bathroom. Stepping into the shower she was hit by the hot, pouring water, warming her body under the shower the image of Lee Seop smiling brightly spilled into her mind.
“Ugh,” the sound escaped her mouth automatically. What was she to do with the executive director… he was like a Shiba Inu, pretty, sweet, obnoxious, aggravating, and cheesy. ‘Do you think he’ll stop acting like this to you?’ She thought, but no it would continue. It’s all childish. She thought about his smile only because he’s pretty, that’s all she told herself. ‘Damnit.’
After swearing to herself silently as much as she could, she felt lighter.
Finishing her shower, Min-kyung wrapped her hair in a towel and then put on pajamas. Exiting the steamy bathroom, she felt wet and chilled, so she grabbed a cup of hot green tea and went into her room.
Min-kyung snuggled into the blanket on her bed and sipped the warm tea, immediately she quickly became tired. When was the last time she relaxed like this? The last few weeks of suffering under Tae Yi-seop since her hotel incident had felt like months.
Min-kyung looked around the room, not focusing until her eyes stopped on two shopping bags placed in the corner of her room. One bag held Lee Seop’s trench coat, which she had from the bar incident, and the second held the leather purse she received for giving him that nasty herbal medicine from his mother.
Min-kyung suddenly felt ill and annoyed and squeezed her eyes shut. She should only keep her eyes shut for a moment, she thought as she pulled the blanket up to her neck. Soon, her mind drifted, and she fell asleep.
