In communications, I work at the intersection of clarity, connection, and understanding. I’ve always been drawn to the space where complex ideas become accessible, helping people feel more confident engaging with information and each other.
My career spans corporate communications, agency strategy, and education-based media instruction. Across these environments, I’ve built a consistent focus: translating complexity into clear, intentional communication that supports both organizational goals and people-centered understanding.
In corporate and agency roles, I’ve developed and executed content and messaging strategies across internal and external communications. At O.Berk, I supported internal communications initiatives, helped define digital communication approaches, establish performance metrics, and translate analytics into actionable insights across Meta, TikTok, and Instagram.
At ICED Media Agency, I worked in creative strategy, conducting audience and creator research to inform digital campaigns and storytelling approaches. My work focused on understanding how audiences engage with content in fast-moving digital environments, and using those insights to shape clearer, more effective messaging strategies.
I currently work in Media Literacy and Communication within Chicago Public Schools, where I lead real-time instruction on topics such as digital media analysis, advertising strategy, social media literacy, and online communication ethics. This experience has strengthened my ability to simplify complex concepts, facilitate dynamic discussions, and adapt communication in real time across diverse audiences. It has also deepened my understanding of how people interpret and respond to information in practice, not just theory.
Beyond corporate and classroom environments, I have led workshops and community-based discussions through my work with UndocuBlack, focused on immigrant narratives and representation in film and media. This included facilitating conversations on bias in media perception, diversity in education, and the ways storytelling shapes public understanding of underrepresented communities. That work reinforced something I have carried throughout my career: communication is not only about delivering information, but about perspective—who gets to speak, whose experiences are understood, and what stories are given space to be told.
Truly “Until the lion learns to write, the story will always glorify the hunter.” I am grounded in teaching the lion how to write.
