Host your dream wedding at Waco's hidden treasure, the Lee Lockwood Library and Museum. The unique and statuesque beauty of the building and grounds, as well as the voluminous two-story Main Atrium will greet your guests upon their arrival. With over 4200 square feet in the atrium alone, and floor to ceiling windows along one wall, the Main Atrium sets an elegant tone for your upcoming ceremony.
With the entire facility at your disposal, many brides choose the Lee Lockwood Library room as the perfect spot to make those final preparations. The large, two-story room features ample space for makeup, hair, and dressing areas as well as room for a light brunch for you and your bridal party. This room is easily entered via the west side parking lot for curbside limo drop off or parking in the adjacent parking spaces. The Bride can also choose the backstage Bridal Suite, a more intimate space featuring a large, floor standing mirror and a full length vanity allowing you to check on every last detail before the big event.
For the guys, the upstairs Member's Lounge is available as they don their tuxes and relax in the spacious confines of this secluded lounge on the east side of the building.
The Beard Auditorium, located in the center of the main floor, features space for over 300 guests, as well as state of the art video projection and sound systems to bring your ceremony to life. The Bridal party has the choice of our elegant stage backdrops and drapes to set the perfect scene for the wedding as the Bridesmaids and Bride descend into the auditorium down the wide center aisle.
A choice of locations are available for the reception, including both the Main and Lower Atriums and the Howard Ballroom on the lower level. The Howard Ballroom, our most popular setting for receptions features over 8600 square feet of space and ample seating for upwards of 500 guests. The luxurious tile floor makes the perfect dance floor for those all-important first dances and the room features an audio/visual system unrivaled in Waco.
Our parking lot wraps three sides of the building, with direct access available from both the Main and Lower Atrium. As your dream evening draws to a close, guests can ascend the ramp to the East side parking lot. Many parties elect to host curb-side valet parking for their guests at this spot, or they can easily locate their vehicle in our large and well-lit parking lot.
