Welcome to the Lee Research Group!
We are developing biomaterials to regulate biological processes, with the ultimate goal of improving tissues repair and regeneration. We take interdisciplinary approaches, where we design and apply our biomaterials that elicit cellular and tissue response using biologically active substances, such as growth factors, cytokines, DNAs, mRNAs, and exosomes. By employing new biomaterials and methodologies, we are exploring biological questions and providing translational solutions for the unmet scientific and clinical needs in contemporary tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
We welcome scientists and researchers from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment. We foster a collegial culture of collaboration and teamwork, where we cultivate professional expertise and facilitate the development of future career paths.
Lee Research Group is based in the Division of Biomaterials, Department of Restorative Sciences at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. We are affiliated with Minnesota Dental Research Center for Biomaterials and Biomechanics (MDRCBB).
