Your child is precious and deserves to be with a qualified person who takes good care of him/her.
As-salaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu.
I'm so glad you stopped by, and I'm honored that you discovered our little nest despite what the colossal web is offering!
I am very excited to introduce myself to you. My name is Dehbia (Golden in Arabic). I was born and raised in North Africa, in Algeria, in a region where the overwhelming majority were Muslims and spoke a language called Berber. At an early age, I was eager to learn how to read and couldn't wait until I turned 6 to go to school, so I rushed my parents to enroll me earlier. Blessedly, I joined the school at the age of 5. There, I started learning the Arabic language at 5 and the French language at 8 years old.
At the university, I studied medicine in the French language and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine. I then studied Mesotherapy, specialized in general psychiatry, and held a diploma in child-psychiatry. As I had the privilege of being within the Best Ten, I got a scholarship to France, where I took training in child psychiatry before moving to Calgary to join my husband. I have been blessed with an incredible career that has helped me understand how precious a child's early years are.
Inquisitive and curious to know how to raise my children, I started educating myself with diverse philosophies such as those of Charlotte Mason, Glenn Doman, and Warldorf. I chose to study Montessori philosophy. I have an Early Childhood Certification (Level 2) with the province of Alberta and have completed my Montessori Diploma (MACTE-accredited) with the Montessori Teachers College of Toronto. I had the privilege to observe and work in what I consider the best Montessori preschools in Calgary.
El Hamdulilah, I am now honored to have this chance to be the founder of a truly unique program: ''Le Bon Chemin Montessori Centre".
Have you ever watched a child learn or observe something new? The whole body and all the senses appear to be involved in the learning process. The five senses are utilized to provide meaning to what he/she sees, touches, feels, tastes, hears, or smells. Tons of questions will quickly follow, and all of them can be just to understand something that is considered simple and evident for us adults. I experienced that with my children and noticed that I did not always have answers to their interesting questions.
I wondered when I stopped asking questions the way they were pleasantly doing it. I wondered when I lost my curiosity. Instead of ignoring or disregarding their questions, I chose to learn with them. I started using the internet and books to look for answers to all their pertinent questions. Recently, I realized that I was not running away from their questions anymore; rather, I was attentively listening to them and calmly waiting for more questions to come. I was transformed, and I truly adore the transformation. I get to be a curious mother who sees the creations of Allah with distinctive views.
Subhan Ellah, the world around me has gotten to be discernible, interesting, beautiful, and meaningful. I began noticing little contrasts and differences in things such as creepy crawlies, feathered creatures, colors, clouds, and plants. I started appreciating the changes in weather and checking for early signs. El Hamdulilah, I became calmer, more joyful, and most importantly, closer to the creator. Thanks to my motherhood, I found the key to El Tadabur.
Each lesson I share with my children is an opportunity to learn new things and appreciate the creations of Allah. It is genuine that "getting an education is not the same as the cultivation of curiosity, wonder, and beauty."
I love children and have always wanted to take care of them. Presently, I feel prepared and equipped with good educational material and a great deal of experience to do it.
