This is an intensive Korean language training program for non-native speakers who wish to acquire systematic learning of the Korean language. This program is composed of 4 regular courses.
Course Description
Level 1 (Beginner 1): learn basic Korean expressions
Subject : for those that are learning Korean for the first time
Content/purpose : foster (low) beginner language ability for basic expressions by learning the Hangul alphabet, pronunciation and basic sentence structure, studying basic vocabulary and learning how to greet, introduce oneself and buy products in Korean
Level 2 (Beginner 2): study conversations required in daily life
Subject : for those that have completed the Level 1 course or possess the equivalent Korean language ability
Content/purpose : foster (high) beginner language ability for various conversational expressions by learning complex sentence structures, such as conjunctions and post positions, based on basic sentence understanding
Level 3 (Intermediate 1): acquire basic communication skills used in daily life
Subject : for those that have completed the Level 2 course or possess the equivalent Korean language ability
Content/purpose : foster (low) intermediate language ability for handling duties in the office, hospital, post office and other places by studying passive/causative verbs and indirect narrations
Level 4 (Intermediate 2): study language expressions for basic situations of social life
Subject : for those that have completed the Level 3 course or possess equivalent Korean language ability
Content/purpose : foster (high) intermediate language ability for reading short essays or newspaper articles, make general use of the Korean language, study Korean vocabulary and expressions, such as idioms, proverbs and honorific/casual language
Level 5 (Advanced 1): acquire language ability for understanding general conversations in social situations (political, economical and social) and to express personal opinions regarding these topics
Subject : for those that have completed the Level 4 course or possess the equivalent Korean language ability
Content/purpose : foster (low) advanced language ability for discussing specialized topics by learning advanced vocabulary, grammar (advanced conjunctions), difference in meaning between similar expressions
Level 6 (Advanced 2): acquire professional language ability for understanding most social situations and conversing about various topics
Subject : for those that have completed the Level 5 course or possess equivalent Korean language ability
Content/purpose : foster (high) advanced language ability for understanding graduate content or handling office duties by reading learning about current events through media (radio, TV, newspaper, lecture), reading about literary works, writing documents or reports
