Resource #1: Grammar Flip (use Log on with Google to enter)
Description of Resource #1: We have opened lessons 1.25 (Subject Verb Agreement) and 1.30 (Run-on Sentences, Comma Splices, and Fragments). Students can watch the videos (click on “Skip” so that the video will open). If you earn a 90% or higher on the diagnostics, you are done. If you don’t earn a 90% or higher, complete the two practice exercises and the post-evaluations.

Description of Resource #2: Play these 6th grade ELA review games to practice what you’ve learned so far this school year.
Resource #3: Padlet of Great Books/Mackinvia (eBooks, just use your school log in and be sure to choose Hershey Middle School as your school)
Description of Resource #3: Read for your usual reading goal. In addition to filling in your reading log, add to the “Padlet of Great Books” to tell about what you have read. Feel free to include pictures and video.
Resource #1: Writing Padlet
Description of Resource #1: Students can journal about their present experiences and share those with classmates. Students will also find free writing prompts to free write or creatively write. They can also find resources to practice grammar including Grammar flip and No Red Ink for additional practice in grammar concepts. Students should practice Level 2 concepts on Grammarflip.
Resource #2: Reading Padlet
Description of Resource #2: Students can find information and links to Newsela, where they can explore nonfiction articles or assigned text sets. Students will also find links to Mackinvia, where they can explore fiction and nonfiction ebooks using their district log-ins. Last, students will find Read Alouds from a variety of different authors.
Resource #3: Technology Review Padlet
Description of Resource #3: Students can find Quizlet vocabulary practice for the terms we have studied this year. They can play Quizziz’s to review the parts of a TDA or create a TDA of their own.
Resource #1: Flocabulary
Description of Resource #1: 4 videos and activities will be assigned to students via their Flocabulary accounts. Please try to complete 2 videos a week. You can choose which videos you would like to start with!
Resource #2: 8th Grade ELA Reading Resources for Our Closure
Description of Resource #2: This resource shares a list of suggested reading resources for students during our closure. We are recommending that students read for 10-20 minutes each day from these resources.
