Practicum 5 is a course taken by third-year students in the STEM Teacher Preparation Program. The course aims to help students develop as educators by combining theoretical knowledge with opportunities for practical application in a clinical setting. Building on their role as learners in both transdisciplinary and disciplinary courses, Practicum 5 will focus on the candidates transitioning from being learners to facilitating the learning of others. This shift will help deepen students' understanding and enhance their critical thinking skills. Learning Assistants (LAs) play a crucial role in supporting student learning through the use of research-validated teaching and learning strategies.
