IELTS is a standardised skills test that is jointly owned by Cambridge English, the British Council and IDP. It is a globally recognised and highly trused test.
There are no shortcuts to a good IELTS score. The only way that works is to make sure your language is good enough to achieve the score you need. If your English is good enough, then being familiar with the exam and how it works can guarantee you a satisfying score.
You can ONLY take the test at an IDP or British Council testing centre. However, you can prepare for the test anywhere and in different ways. So long as you use resources from the owners of the test, i.e. Cambridge English, the British Council and IDP, you can make sure that your preparation is on track.
