CADD software usage
List of basic AutoCAD commands that are essential for getting started with drafting and design:
Basic Drawing Commands:
LINE (L): Draws a straight line segment between two points.
CIRCLE (C): Creates a circle by specifying the center and radius or diameter.
ARC (A): Draws an arc by specifying three points or a center point, radius, and angle.
RECTANGLE (REC): Draws a rectangle by specifying two opposite corners.
POLYGON (POL): Creates a polygon with a specified number of sides.
ELLIPSE (EL): Draws an ellipse by specifying the center, major axis, and minor axis.
SPLINE (SPL): Draws a smooth curve through specified points.
Basic Editing Commands:
ERASE (E): Deletes selected objects from the drawing.
COPY (CO): Copies selected objects to a specified location.
MOVE (M): Moves selected objects from one location to another.
ROTATE (RO): Rotates selected objects around a specified point.
SCALE (SC): Changes the size of selected objects by a specified scale factor.
TRIM (TR): Trims objects to meet the edges of other objects.
EXTEND (EX): Extends objects to meet the edges of other objects.
OFFSET (O): Creates a parallel copy of an object at a specified distance.
FILLET (F): Rounds the corners of intersecting objects.
CHAMFER (CHA): Bevels the corners of intersecting objects.
Basic Dimensioning Commands:
DIMLINEAR (DIM): Creates a linear dimension between two points.
DIMALIGNED (DAL): Creates a dimension aligned with the selected object.
DIMRADIAL (DIA): Adds a radius dimension to a circle or arc.
DIMDIAMETER (DIMDIAM): Adds a diameter dimension to a circle.
DIMANGULAR (DIA): Adds an angular dimension between two lines.
Basic Annotation Commands:
TEXT (T): Creates single-line text annotations.
MTEXT (MT): Creates multi-line text annotations with formatting options.
LEADER (LE): Creates a leader line with annotation for labeling objects.
Layer Management Commands:
LAYER (LA): Opens the Layer Properties Manager to create and manage layers.
LAYERP (LAYERP): Displays the current layer’s properties.
View Management Commands:
ZOOM (Z): Adjusts the view scale of the drawing area.
PAN (P): Moves the view of the drawing area without changing the scale.
REGEN (RE): Regenerates the drawing to update the display.
File Management Commands:
OPEN (OP): Opens an existing drawing file.
SAVE (S): Saves the current drawing file.
SAVEAS (SA): Saves the current drawing file under a new name or format.
NEW (N): Creates a new drawing file.
Utility Commands:
