Learn to spell is an educational spelling application operated by Fiona Higgins. This policy explains what information the app uses, why it is used, and the choices available to learners and their parents or guardians.
The app can be used as a guest without creating an account. An optional account enables backup and synchronization between devices.
Learning progress, spelling attempts, custom words, theme, sound, haptics, and onboarding preferences are stored locally on the device.
When an account is created, we process the account email address, optional display name, authentication-provider information, and the supported learning data needed for backup and synchronization. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not visible to the app operator.
Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple may provide an email address, name, and provider account identifier according to the choices made with those services.
Provide spelling lessons and save learning progress.
Authenticate optional learner accounts.
Back up and synchronize supported learning data.
Maintain app security and diagnose service failures.
Respond to privacy or support requests.
We do not sell personal information. The app does not contain advertising or third-party behavioral analytics.
Supabase provides account authentication, database hosting, and synchronization infrastructure. Google and Apple provide optional social sign-in. These providers process information under their own privacy terms and security practices.
Learn to spell is designed for educational use and may be used by children. A parent, guardian, or responsible adult should create and manage an optional account for a child where consent is required. Please contact us if you believe personal information was provided without the consent required in your country.
Guest data remains on the device until it is reset, removed by the operating system, or the app is uninstalled. Account data remains while the account is active. Learners can delete their account in the app, which removes the account and its active cloud learning data. Service-provider backups may be retained temporarily for security and disaster recovery.
Use the app without creating an account.
Edit the optional display name.
Reset local learning progress from Settings.
Delete the account and associated active cloud data in-app.
Ask us about access, correction, or deletion.
We use access controls, encrypted connections, device-protected session storage, and account-scoped database policies. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we limit the information collected and review the safeguards used by the app.
This policy may be updated when the app or its services change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
