If You Are a Complete Beginner 

You do not need to know any Greek before starting.

We begin with the basics, including the Greek alphabet, pronunciation, basic vocabulary and simple sentence structures.

As you become more familiar with the language, we gradually introduce more speaking, listening and everyday communication.

Starting from zero is completely normal. Many adult learners find the beginning challenging, particularly when they are getting used to a new alphabet, unfamiliar sounds and grammatical features such as noun gender and different endings.

Greek for Work and Life in Cyprus 

Some expats need Greek because they use the language at work or want to communicate more easily with colleagues, clients or other people they meet professionally.

Others want to become more involved in life in Cyprus and feel more comfortable communicating with people around them.

In these cases, we can focus on the vocabulary, expressions and communication skills that are most relevant to your situation.

Preparing for Greek Language Examinations

Some people living in Cyprus learn Greek because they need to prepare for a language examination as part of their longer-term plans.

I also prepare students for Greek language examinations from A1 to C2. Preparation is based on the student's current level and the requirements of the examination, with work on areas such as speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary.
