Assessments
In order to ascertain the unique requirements of each child, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts administer skills assessments, which encompass not only language development but also practical life skills and the capacity to generalize learning. Functional behavior assessments and analyses are also performed on children who exhibit challenging behaviors.
Behavior Reduction
Functional behavior reduction strategies are advantageous for children who exhibit challenging behaviors. These strategies frequently involve the elimination of triggers and the provision of opportunities for the child to exhibit the desired behavior in place.
There are established protocols and functional alternatives in place to manage these behaviors (e.g., requesting a break instead of resorting to the problematic behavior in order to obtain that break; declining an invitation to use the toilet by saying no). Even here, collaboration is essential. Consistency in the home, classroom, and other settings fosters sustained development.
Skill Acquisition
Learn and Rise places primary emphasis on the child's daily activities. We commence by enhancing interpersonal and communication abilities. Following that, we proceed to discuss tasks such as mealtime difficulties and rigorous toilet training. In appropriate circumstances, vocational skills are also fostered.
Family training and education is a fundamental component of every therapeutic plan. By acquiring skills through consistency, children are able to retain and generalize that knowledge to new situations.
