Leah is a first-generation French-Mari-El-American creative. At her forefront, she is a writer-director-producer, furthermore fostering deep passions for cinematography, editing, and performing. In addition to filmmaking and television production, she enjoys photography, reading, thrifting, listening to music, and traveling.
She loves writing, developing, and lensing stories undercutting patriarchal norms, exploring vulnerable sides to femininity, and deep diving into nuanced family dynamics. As the child of two immigrants, she gravitates towards writing as a creative outlet for her feelings of belonging to multiple cultures spanning separate spheres of the world.
Leah has studied internationally at Sorbonne Université in Paris, France and Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Catalunya. She currently studies at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York.
Interning at production company American High and nonprofit Montclair Film helped her gain industry experience in development, education, office administration, marketing, and social media videography.
Working as part of the 2024 DNC's Digital Media Team as both an Influencer Liaison and Digital Media Editor was a highlight of her professional career thus far.
"Film inspires me, television is what sustains me, and theater keeps me ignited."
