Manitoba brought our first big challenges: 1. private farmland, and 2. drier oven leaf combustion.
Respectively, this opened opportunities to:
Meet new people—namely, private farmland owners—and share our project with them.
Visit a Bass Pro Shop, acquire TWO industrial-grade temperature-controlled dehydrators, and spark curiosity from onlooking staff (who also got the full project rundown). Beef jerky is OUT, leaf jerky is IN!
Our adventures also brought us to our first Tim Horton's (worth the hype), and many a Crown Land roadside-pull off camp.
We wrapped up this leg in Thompson, MB, but had to head back south quickly due to wildfire activity.
Our wild ride continues in Saskachewan... wildfires and gravel highways galore!
