When thinking about the process of coaching, I always have some fears since it makes you feel vulnerable but you know that you need to open up in order to grow. I was a little hesitant to share what was really going on with me, not being sure I could be that vulnerable.
I am training to be a coach but here I was, feeling anxious but really wanting the help so badly.
So, I jumped in and began to really open up about a new opportunity that was unfolding for me but really feeling out of my depth. You really helped me unpack the barriers that were in my way. Well, they were in my head actually. You could see right through me and I couldn’t hide from what I needed to face.
You challenged me, which is exactly what I needed. Not someone to agree with my fears and worries, but someone who could help me take the next step and to help me see what the path could look like. I was too deep in it. You helped me open my mind and remove the fear of taking the next small steps. The questions you shared with me helped me become aware of what I needed to do.
