Leadership Spencer County is an independent, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote a

progressive, unified Spencer County by identifying and developing leaders to serve our community.

Designed to help you become an effective community leader, Leadership Spencer County offers the

opportunity to develop leadership skills and expand your knowledge of Spencer County, Indiana.

Leadership Spencer County was established in 1997 by a group of citizens concerned about the future of

Spencer County, Indiana. Spencer County, in the heart of Lincoln land, has a tradition of growing

leaders. Now, more than ever, we must rely on this tradition to create community leaders who are prepared

to meet the challenges of the 21st century: adapting to change, building unity amidst diversity, and

recognizing and encouraging the creative use of our local talents. Our leadership program is designed to

strengthen our county community by enhancing the leadership capacities its citizens and by providing a means

for area men and women to assume a more active role in meeting community needs. This will be the second

program lead by a partnership with Purdue University. This partnership will align the Purdue University

Leadership Program curriculum with the local speakers, field trips and learning opportunities that are so vital

for our grassroots program.

The generosity of Leadership Spencer County sponsors enriches the program and makes it more accessible,

more attractive, more complete and more fun. Sponsors help keep the costs of Leadership Spencer County

low. Sponsorships help provide scholarships to deserving leaders who might not have access to the program

otherwise. Sponsors provide materials, meals, speakers and other needs that are not covered by tuition.

Your sponsorship of the program entities your business or organization to:

• Name will be printed on the session agenda

• Recognition in Leadership Spencer County material

• Recognition in end-of-program press release

• Opportunity to present to class over lunch session or provide tour of facility if applicable.
