Lead Harvest ("we," "us," or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Chrome Extension, Lead Harvest (the "Service").
By installing and using Lead Harvest, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We prioritize data minimization. We only process data necessary to provide the core functionality of the Service (finding emails and drafting messages).
When you use the "Email Finder" or "AI Writer" features on a LinkedIn profile, the extension temporarily processes public information available on that page, such as:
Name
Job Title & Company
"About" section and recent post activity
Public contact information
Prompts: Text you provide or select to generate email drafts.
API Keys: If you bring your own API key (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic), it is stored locally on your device via Chrome's local.storage API. We do not have access to your API keys.
We may collect anonymous, aggregated technical data to improve stability, such as:
Browser version
Extension version
Error logs (e.g., if a script fails to load)
We strictly adhere to the Chrome Web Store Single Purpose Policy. We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to the extension's core functionality.
To Generate Content: Profile data is sent to the selected AI provider (e.g., OpenAI) solely for the purpose of drafting the email.
To Verify Emails: Contact data is cross-referenced with verification databases to ensure deliverability.
To Maintain Security: We monitor usage patterns to enforce "Safe Mode" limits, protecting your account from automated behavior flags.
We are a "Local-First" Extension.
Cookies: We do not collect, store, or transmit your LinkedIn session cookies to our servers. Your session remains entirely local to your browser.
Lead Data: Leads you save are stored in your local browser storage or exported directly by you (CSV/CRM). We do not maintain a shadow database of your leads.
Encryption: All communication between the extension and third-party APIs (like OpenAI) occurs over secure HTTPS encryption.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information. We only share data with trusted third-party processors required to deliver the service:

Depending on your location, you have rights regarding your data:
Right to Access: You can view all data stored by the extension by visiting the "My Leads" or "Settings" tab.
Right to Deletion: You can delete stored leads or clear your local cache at any time by uninstalling the extension.
