This project challenges the traditional model of psychiatric care that isolates individuals in remote institutions. It proposes a new building typology that brings together what is needed for psychological support and recovery within an inclusive environment.
The meaning of the name Mindscape reflects an escape of the mind, a shelter that offers relief and renewal while staying connected to life and community.
The site in Jaffa was chosen for its layered history and visible spaces of alienation, where social and cultural divides have created feelings of exclusion.

The design concept was based off care and cure, where cure addresses clinical treatment and care nurtures emotional support and belonging.
The concept of care and cure highlights two complementary needs in mental health. Cure focuses on clinical treatment and recovery, while care emphasizes emotional support, dignity, and belonging.
Together, they ensure spaces that heal both medically and socially, integrating mental health into everyday life
