Geodesic currents, introduced by Bonahon in his study of ends of hyperbolic 3-manifolds, have grown into a powerful unifying framework across low-dimensional geometry, dynamics, and geometric group theory. Recent years have seen a surge of activity in extending the theory to new settings, from Out(Fₙ) and negatively curved groups to flat surfaces and counting problems, while deepening our understanding of foundational constructions such as the Thurston compactification and the marked length spectrum.

This workshop aims to survey these cutting-edge developments. Participants will be divided into small groups, each contributing a minicourse on recent work within one or more subtopics. Please check the topics page.
