Chia-Yi Huang received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Photonics, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in June 2010. After graduation, he served one year of military service in Hsinchu. He was employed as a research fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore, from September 2011 to July 2012. He became an assistant professor at the Department of Applied Physics, Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan, in August 2012. He was promoted to professor in February 2021. He published 27 SCI journal papers at Tunghai University and is the corresponding author of 16 published papers. His research interests include liquid crystals, metamaterials, and terahertz optics.
