Travel

Travel to Latvia can be done by plane or by bus/train. Please try to book flights directly from the website of the airlines, as it can be easier to make changes or request a refund in case of need.

The arrival day to Riga is 26th of August. Keep in mind that the last bus from Riga to the closest bus stop to project venue (Tušķi) goes at 21:50, you can check times and buy tickets online here: https://www.1188.lv/en/transport (Riga SAO - Tušķi). If you can't manage to get to the last bus, there are also trains from Riga to Jelgava which goes at 22:35 and 23:35, you can check the train tickets here https://www.pv.lv/en/ .When you will reach the bus or train stop please contact us via Whatsapp or phone call and we will pick you up from the bus stop Tušķi or train station in Jelgava.

From airport to Riga center you can get by 22nd bus (Bus route No. 22 is the only route managed by "Rīgas satiksme", where the ticket can also be bought from the transport vehicle driver. Payment for the ticket is with a bank payment card only, ticket price - 2€.).

You can also arrive 1 - 3 days earlier to visit Riga, on your own expense.

We will depart back to Riga on 6th of September same way as we did arrive to Upeslīči, so make sure you have enough time to catch your flight. 

You can also stay in Riga 1-3 days later on your own expense.

IMPORTANT!

We strongly encourage you to buy flights that have the possibility to do online check-in and in this way you will be able to give us the return boarding passes as well, without sending them to us by post when you return home !

If for your airline is not possible, you still need to send us the boarding passes by post after the project. It is very important to have all your travel and financial documents with you for each person, otherwise the reimbursement will not be possible !
