2022-2023 Sloan Foundation $19000 MIT OpenCourseWare Partnership. Participation as a sub-awardee. For faculty adaptation and use of MIT OCW and to study the faculty experience as they review and adapt materials.
2022-2023 DOERS3 $1500 Open Education in Tenure and Promotion Case Studies Project. Write a chapter on OER role in the Tenure and Promotion process at the Maricopa Community Colleges and at Salt Lake Community College.
2022-2023 DOERS3 $14,000 Equity Through OER Rubric Pilot Grant. Apply the OER Equity rubric at the Maricopa Community Colleges.
2019-2021 US Department of Education Grant. Consortium for Open Active Pathways Project received $2.5M to develop a set of interactive and adaptive OER to support student success. Participation as a sub-awardee.
2016-2017 MCLI Learning Grant. $5445 to implement practice of establishing purpose for students, develop a scholarly community of practice, and study the impact of the implementation with five faculty.
2015-2017 Next Generation Courseware Challenge Grant Project Subgrant through Lumen Learning. $10,000 to serve as Principal Investigator for pilot of digital personalized learning courseware that utilizes Open Educational Resources.
2015-2016 MCLI Learning Grant. $3300 to develop a just in time training program for adjunct faculty to aid them if they are unable to attend the in-person orientation.
2014-2015 MCLI Learning Grant. $6534 to implement zero week, develop a scholarly community of practice, and study the impact of the implementation with five faculty.
American Society of Safety Engineers (AZ Chapter) Scholarship Grant. $500 annually for student scholarships.
Arizona Floodplain Management Association Grants. Arizona Floodplain Management Grant to develop and maintain educational water library $4,000. $500 annually for student scholarships.
Central Arizona Project Education Grant. $15,000 Central Arizona Project Resources Grants for student outreach.
City of Phoenix Scholarship Grants. $10,000 annually for funding of student scholarships and internships
2004 – 2005 MCLI Learning Grant. $5,885 to develop course materials and tools to enable students to gain valuable experience with application based, integrated mathematics problems to be used in both the core program curriculum and the mathematics curriculum.
2005 – 2006 MCLI Learning Grant. $4,774 to the divisions of Counseling, Business, Health Sciences and Industrial Technology developed curriculum for three learning communities: divisions of Counseling and Business, Counseling and Health Sciences, and Counseling and Industrial Technology. These courses are specific to Achieving College Education (ACE) students and will enable them to apply college success strategies to core program curriculum.
Salt River Project Educational Services Grant. $100,000 from Salt River Project Educational Services Grant to develop Water Programs.
School-to-work. $9,000 School to work grant to develop Water Resources Mentor Program. $68,000 School to Work grant to implement Water Resources Mentor Program.
Susan Harwood OSHA Training Grant. $123,972 awarded to work with the Southwest Safety Training Alliance (SSTA) to provide 16-hour standardized safety and health training, initially to member companies and workers. Grant included translation to Spanish, and development of instructor's guide, student guide, and presentation materials.
US Geologic Survey Grants. $250,000 in grants for student recruiter position, student internships and equipment.
