Registration will open on October 7, at 4PM! Thank you for your interest. We look forward to hosting you!
Logistics
The tournament will be on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Please see the tentative schedule here.
A live ceremony will follow.
Tournament Format
It is our intention to closely model the Virginia tournament experience, though teams from any state and DC are welcome to participate.
Tests will be written at the Regional Level.
All events will be written, reviewed, and run by current Division C Lake Braddock and West Springfield Science Olympiad competitors, as well as alumni and other outside supervisors. This means that coaches will not be required to write tests.
We expect students to give their best effort while displaying honesty, integrity, and good sportsmanship in this tournament format, and that their coaches and other support adults facilitate our in person testing environment.
Each school may be asked to provide adult volunteers for EACH team that participates. No volunteer will be required to prepare any material in advance and will be dismissed as soon as their shift is over.
Registration
Registration will be limited to 42 teams.
The registration fee for this year’s tournament is $150 for the first team, and $100 for each additional team. Registration is capped at 3 teams.
Registration will occur at this Google form on October 8, 2025 at 4:00 pm ET, and it will close November 8, or after all slots have been filled. After registration has closed, teams can continue to sign up for our tournament waitlist.
Registration fees will be due no later than Friday, November 17, 2025 or spots will be forfeited and offered to waitlist teams.
If you have any suggestions or any questions, please reach out to us at lakebraddockscioly@gmail.com. We hope to see you soon.
The West Springfield and Lake Braddock High School Science Olympiad team hosts this tournament as a fundraiser for our own season and tournament expenses, in addition to the commitment of supporting elementary and middle school students interested in STEM.
