Structure for the Tournament
Shawn Simmons, Abington: Tournament Director
John Keenan, LaSalle: Asst Tournament Director, Facilities
Michael Nauen, Council Rock South: Asst Tournament Director, Facilities
All Other Coaches: Floor
Tournament Director: Run Swiss Sys, record keeping, rulings on potential situations
Asst Tournament Directors: Aid in smooth running of event. Run facilities for their specific sites. Aid in helping with decisions for potential situations.
Floor: Aid in keeping the playing hall as quiet and fair as possible. Run your teams.
Points of note for coaches
Arrive by 8:30. Collect your players. Report to chess control which players are NOT in attendance for round 1.
During play, our job as a staff is to keep the chess boards as quiet as possible. Communication between opponents should follow USCF rules. Aside from that communication, the room should be quiet.
Conversations from players NOT playing active games must be kept away from play.
Any communication that may signal moves or status of a game that the player is not playing can and will be met with penalties for the team and individual standings.

Yes, coaches or alternate coaches must be present. You can have a parent fill in, if your school is aware and accepting.
