About Me

Hello! My name is Layla Harris and I am 21 years old. I was born and raised in a small town called Kings Mountain, right outside of Charlotte, NC. When I was a child, I would make my two siblings (my twin sister and older brother) and friends sit down and "play school" for hours on hours. Teaching and leading has always been a huge part of my personality and something that I felt a passion for at a very young age. I have been blessed to have teachers in the past that created a lasting impact in my life and I can only hope to be that educator for my future students. I am studying Middle Grades Education because I believe that at that age comes the most challenges and obstacles and I want my students to know that someone will always be in their corner cheering them on!
