As a member of Beta Alpha Psi, you will have ongoing opportunities to participate in campus and community service activities. Service activities include participating in fund raising projects for charity, voluntary tutoring and assisting in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
Through numerous chances to make presentations at local high schools and introductory college classes, as well as at annual and regional meetings, Beta Alpha Psi members will develop strong communication skills.
Academic excellence is not only welcomed, it is expected. Beta Alpha Psi requires its members to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.
Membership in Beta Alpha Psi is a wonderful and rewarding way to meet like-minded people who share many of the same goals and interests that you do.
Members are also able to develop professional friendships and relationships through various networking activities. These include field trips to companies and firms, attending joint meetings with professional organizations, and service activities.

Students are eligible to become Full Members of Beta Alpha Psi after earning 60 credits, obtaining at least a 3.0 GPA in upper-level major courses (300 or above), and completing ACC 311, FIN 355, or IS 220, depending on your major. Prior to completion of ACC 311, FIN 355, or IS 120, you may qualify for “Pledge” status, allowing you to hold any board position except President-Elect. After completing ACC 311, FIN 355, or IS 220, you are eligible for full membership and are no longer eligible for pledge status.
Pledge Status has dues of $10 per semester to be paid to the treasurer (Checks can be made out to UWL with Beta Alpha Psi in the memo or cash is accepted.)
Full Membership: To be considered for membership, complete an application and turn it into Professor Kocakulah (3224 Wittich Hall) along with a copy of your unofficial transcript and payment; there is a one-time fee of $75 to be paid to the treasurer. (Checks can be made out to UWL with Beta Alpha Psi in the memo or cash is not accepted.)
As a Full Member, you will be expected to regularly attend Beta Alpha Psi meetings (typically held at 6:00 PM on Wednesdays) as well as getting 12 professional hours and 12 service hours with a total of 32 overall hours per academic year.
