What is an Associate Attorney?
Associate attorneys is an entry-level position. By working in law firms to gain experience and enhance their skills, by assisting the attorney and getting acquainted with the relevant legal knowledge, they negotiate with colleagues from other law firms, participate in jury selection, and help argue cases in court.
The responsibility of an Associate Attorney:
Assists attorneys in preparing and drafting legal arguments and other relevant legal matters.
Conduct research and data as well as information that is relevant to the case that will use as evidence in the court.
Contributes and getting involved in identifying the law applicable to the case
Prepare and participate in legal trials and proceedings to get experienced.
Consult clients, colleagues that are involved in the case and to fix meetings, conferences, and calls.
Desirable skills that qualify you to be an Associate Attorney:
Must have good communication skills and ability to comprehend.
Must have good management skills.
Must be proficient in computer, and be able to maintain, update, and modify documents to present at the court.
Must have good research ability.
Must have an associate degree in paralegal certification to make an entry.
