YES. If you pay for a service (i.e. initiating a washing/drying cycle), the machine will give you change.
If you have a credit on the screen and the machine did not give you change,
you executed the instructions in the wrong order, or you waited too long between steps 2 and 3.
If you want to start a washing/drying cycle or buy a product, you need to respect the correct order.
The correct order is:
I. Put in your money
II. Press the number of the machine that you want to start or of the product that you want to buy
III. Press the „start“ button
❗️If you mix up the correct order or are too slow between steps 2 and 3, you must repeat steps 2 and 3 again until you no longer have any credit.❗️
The „start“ button is labelled „start“.
Your credit will be shown on the small screen after you have inserted in your money.
It does not accept:

1 cent , 2 cents and 5 cents .
It does accept:
5€, 10€, 20€
0,10€ , 0,20€, 0,5€, 1€, 2€
There can be two reasons:
I. The most likely one:
The machine is old. Most of the time, when it does not accept bills (20€, 10€, or 5€), it is because it is slow. You simply need to repeat the operation. Sometimes, several attempts are necessary.
II. Or, the machine has no change left.
If this is the case, the red light on the bill reader will no longer be lit.
➡️ Please call the number on the wall and in the meantime pay with coins instead.
If you have the exact amount, you can start a machine in the meantime.
When the machine has change again, it will accept bills
