Social media survey- After taking the social media survey, I have a healthy relationship with social media! I myself have never been a big fan of social media, I use it every once in a while, but not consistently. The survey states "Psychologists estimate that as many as 5 to 10% of Americans meet the criteria for social media addiction today. But luckily, that's not you! Not checking social media every few minutes doesn't make you feel anxious, as you prefer to live 'in the moment' rather than through your apps. You use social media to your advantage, at work and to connect with friends and family, but you know when to put it away." as of right now I am fine with my current use of social media but I do think some habits like staying up too late on social media can definetly be changed in the future!

Interesting Social Media Statistic - In an article titled "Social Media its Impact with Positive and Negative Aspects " an interesting statistic I found about social media is that many people surf the internet more than chatting or networking.

Why I chose this statistic- I chose this statistic because I see a lot of networking and chatting done over social media as I use social media to do these things, but I still find it a little surprising that many people choose to surf social media and scroll especially since social media is used for people to be able to connect with others.

Social Media's Impact on Society- Social media has had a huge impact on society both good and bad, I've done a lot of research in the past about the positive and negative aspects of social media one of the biggest positives of the internet is being able to communicate with people from around the world and being informed about recent events. One of the negatives of social media is the addiction many people get from constant dopamine rushes from the things they see on social media. These effects have been studied for a long time and will only continue to grow as time goes on. Social media has created new opportunities many people didn't have decades ago and that enough makes the effort worthwhile. 

Lessons Learned- This project has extended my knowledge of the impact of social media on society and myself a lot more which has allowed me to better understand myself when it comes to social media usage. I've learned that while social media has a lot of negatives it has a lot of positives that make a change in the world and create more opportunities for people to connect and grow together.
