The arts were never intended to be merely pictures hanging on a wall or 15 minutes of music to pave the way for something greater. We believe the arts are a crucial way to think—to re-imagine our world in the light of the Gospel.
In Christ, we, artists, are prophetically predisposed to be present at the margins of our systems and structures. To be at the margins doesn't mean that we are marginalized. Rather, in these places, we are uniquely positioned to work at the seams of the systems and structures, inviting the world to engage in a mutually enriching process of developing artful solutions to some of the most critical problems facing our world.
All mission is ultimately participation in the Creativity of God, in Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the ecclesia, and for the world!
LausanneARTS+ is an invitation to engage and respond to the urgent and critical issues facing our world, specifically via the Freedom and Justice, Creation Care, Children and Family, Children-at-Risk, Workplace Ministry, and Arts Lausanne Issue Networks.
#1 Learn and Listen to a diversity of perspectives on the Issues from experts, grassroots and academics, and working professionals at the intersection of LausanneARTS+ issue themes.
