Twenty years ago, at the end of my first grade school year, my teacher awarded me a certificate for my "Zest to Learn" and I am proud to say that this zest has never faltered over the years. As a learning engineer, my goal is to design environments where others can feel this zest to learn too. Specifically, I am looking to use technology and innovation to operationalize what we know from the learning sciences and from data to inform the design of such environments.
Before pursuing a Master's degree in Learning Engineering at Boston College, I lived in Washington, D.C. for four years (2015-2019) where I worked in the Human Capital domain of management consulting for Accenture Federal Services. I specialized in technical training - delivery and material development - for government clients adopting new software and cloud-based IT systems. In my most recent role as a Training & Performance Support Lead, I leveraged my training experience and skills to guide my client through setting new standards for training and learning as their agency underwent a structural transformation. Out of this work as a Human Capital consultant and trainer grew my passion for learning, design, and user experience.
In addition to adult learners in a professional workplace context, I have expanded my population of interest to include learners in higher education. This interest actually took root during my undergraduate work study job at Boston College (2013-2015), when I provided training and guidance to the Carroll School of Management's Marketing Department faculty on how to use the Canvas learning management system as well as Adobe Connect for a remote classroom option. Throughout my experience in the Learning Engineering Master's program, I have been passionate about addressing learning design challenges that take place in the higher ed realm, including two Design Studio projects that focused on the BC undergraduate experience, and a current internship at MIT Open Learning that focuses on training residential faculty in integrating new technology with pedagogy.

Still have the zest!
