When Ollie ended her life, she thought that was it. She didn't expect a screen with a blinking cursor and three words: Magnetism, Might, Marvel. Confused, and not giving it much thought, Ollie sets what she thinks might be stats to the max.
Next thing she knows, she’s in a forest in the town of Mistvale. And though Ollie hasn’t read it since she was twelve, she’s pretty sure this is the setting of the bestselling series Everlight. Or maybe it’s the dating sim game based off it, a narrative defined by the choices of the player.
Either way, vampires are crawling, and the consequences of her stats are setting in: Magnetism causes everyone who looks at her to immediately fall in love; Might gives her immense, uncontrollable strength; and Marvel... she's worried about that wild card. She has no clue where to start with all that, let alone how to deal with the vampire brothers, Bram and John, who want her to choose between them. They’re the original love interests from the books, so picking one might end whatever she’s trapped in, but what about Konstantine, the very dangerous and very deadly character introduced in the game? Only he is immune to her charm and strength. And her draw to him is novel-worthy.
Now with all these love interests, forced into living again, Ollie fears how her choices might affect this particular narrative.
Trapped in Everlight is a classic tensei satire of early 2000s paranormal romances. It's perfect for fans and critics alike of stories like Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, and Trueblood.
