The Artistic Director

Laurence Performing Arts is a project of Jeremy David Laurence, professional teacher and proud father of 5.  Born in Vermilion, Alberta, Canada, Mr. Laurence has been teaching and developing artists for over 25 years.  

He is certified to teach in Alberta and Saskatchewan and holds bachelors' degrees in Fine Arts (University of Calgary), Education (University of Alberta) and a Master of Education (Werklund School of Education, U of C).  

He has taught and given workshops across North America and directed the Performing Arts Department of Lakeland College where he created the "Theatre for Kids" program.  He is also a founding member of the Folk/Rock/Reggae/Bluegrass band, The Laurence Boys.

Mr. Laurence's public school program for Christmas Concert production has been successfully implemented in 4 schools across Alberta to rave reviews and critical acclaim.
