At Chevron, I continuously worked on thought leadership PR, securing organic article placements in relevant trade publications highlighting internal subject matter experts. I also created press releases for product launches and secured media coverage around trade show events. In total, I oversaw--using the help of an outside agency--the pitching, creation and placement of 5-10 organic articles per year, as well as 1-2 press releases for product launches and trade show events.
Thought leadership articles about maintenance and equipment reliability helped grow Chevron's ISOCLEAN Certified Clean Lubricants program by 13% YoY and establish Chevron as a partner in overall customer success.
Press releases and related published articles about grease kept Chevron's name in the media associated with grease, which helped smooth the portfolio rebrand and make the Rykon grease product launch a success.
At Nadeau, I wrote press releases for new store openings (4 to 5 per year), and worked consistently to keep the products in national media. I also worked with editors, designers, and production crews (in coordination with local store managers) to loan out furniture as needed for magazine shoots, local news segments and national design shows. I also had an annual budget to approve items donated for auctions to support local charitable causes.
In my four years at Nadeau, I secured coverage in Better Homes & Gardens, House Beautiful, Refinery29, Time Out New York, the Washington Post, Daily Candy, Apartment Therapy, Thrillist, The High Low Project (HGTV) and more. Consistent local outreach and coverage in blogs kept individual stores highly ranked in reader "best of" city polls, such as Gambit (New Orleans), Chicago Reader, the Tennessean, Time Out, and others.
