Originally from the Atlanta area, I've lived in the Charlotte area for more than 11 years now. I married my husband, Tim, in 2007. When we had our first child in 2012, we hired a newborn photographer at his birth. The pictures were amazing, but what amazed me even more was the patience, care, and beauty our photographer put into soothing our three-day-old so he would pose for her while she snapped her camera rapidly at his little face. I thought to myself: I could do this. I'd taken some photography in college and had discerned studying to get a masters in photography. I understood the basics and knew that I was confident enough with babies and children to figure out the rest.
In 2013, I launched my photography business and enjoyed capturing memories for dozens of clients for both newborn and family sessions for several years. I had a brief interlude from 2016 to 2018, when my family moved out of state. When we returned to Charlotte in early 2019, I was thrilled to build my business in the Queen City once again!
We now have three boys (born 2012, 2016, 2018) so I am officially a boy mom and have plenty of experience working with children of all ages! When I'm not capturing memories for other families, I enjoy homeschooling my kids, teaching English online to kids in China, crafting, watercoloring, binge-watching Netflix with my husband, and playing board games with friends!
