Outreach
Diversity, equity and inclusion
I am committed to improving diversity, equity and inclusion in mathematics. I subscribe to the following axioms.
Mathematical potential is equally present in different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic and economic boundaries.
Everyone can have joyful, meaningful and empowering mathematical experiences.
Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that can be shapen and used differently by various communities to serve their needs.
Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
Need some extra help?
I particularly encourage students from underrepresented groups who are interested in pursuing mathematics to reach out for help and advice.
I also offer free undergraduate and A-level mathematics tuition to anyone who has come from any kind of disadvantaged background.
"I met Laura because I needed help with my undergraduate studies. She structured her teaching based on my understanding in the subject and the purpose of my learning. She gave a good intuition of abstract theory before diving into technical details. I recommend learning from Laura. She always roots for your success and tries her best to help you. Not only you will learn a lot from her but also have fun together!" - Jieun Kim (UCL/Oxford)
