My professional experience spans a decade and a half in various classroom settings while also writing curriculum for Clear Creek Independent School District and training teachers in Texas and Zambia. My expertise has been valuable as I have served on the board of directors for Alliance for Children Everywhere and The Houston A&M Club.
Clear Creek Independent School District
Currently, I teach at our intermediate school gifted and talented campus, focusing on executive functioning skills and traits of giftedness for 6th graders. I also creat quarterly mini courses that are of high interest to middle grade students will focusing on a product based approach to their learning. In the past, as a world cultures teacher, I worked to bring the global world within reach to all students in my sixth-grade classroom. Using current events, such as the earthquake in Haiti, tsunami in Japan, and human trafficking in India, empathy for others was created alongside a realization that all people are impacted by one another. I provided all students, from those in my gifted and talented courses to those first learning English, with appropriate learning experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Lessons were developed and incorporated to keep students actively engaged utilizing technology and hands on activities. I also wrote social studies curriculum and a cross-curricular overlay for gifted and talented students for the district.
University Baptist Church Weekday Education
I provide a sound musical education for all children in the school. Alongside music class, I develop biblically sound, age-appropriate lessons for weekly chapel and monthly outreach opportunities for the children and their families to serve the local community.

I have also served in various leadership capacities:
