Through opportunities provided by The Bush School, I was able to participate in two self-assessment surveys. These useful tools provide insight into how I respond in various situations as well as guide the ways in which I need to continue to grow.
This assessment allows an individual to understand how they view the world around them, respond to outside influences, and process information.
ISFJ
Introversion: People who prefer Introversion tend to direct their energy toward their inner world and are energized by reflecting on their ideas and experiences.
Sensing: Individuals who prefer Sensing tend to take in information that is real and tangible. They focus mainly on what they perceive using the five senses.
Feeling: Those who prefer Feeling typically base their decisions and conclusions on personal and social values, with understanding and harmony the primary goals.
Judging: People who prefer Judging typically come to conclusions quickly and want to move on, and take an organized, planned approach to the world.
An individual’s natural strengths are identified through this psychosocial analysis. Learning one’s natural strengths can help guide future decision making as well as be an opportunity to align goals with them. My natural strengths are Context, Input, Belief, Responsibility, and Connectedness.
Context: People exceptionally talented in the Context theme enjoy thinking about the past. They understand the present by researching its history.
Input: Individuals strong in the Input theme have a need to collect and archive. They may accumulate information, ideas, artifacts or even relationships.
Belief: Those who are gifted in the Belief theme have unchanging core values. Out of these values emerges a defined purpose for their lives.
Responsibility: People naturally talented in the Responsibility theme take psychological ownership of what they say they will do. They are committed to stable values such as honesty and loyalty.
Connectedness: Individuals strong in the Connectedness theme have faith in the links among all things. They believe there are few coincidences and that almost every event has meaning.
