Let not my thankfulness falter.
Let not my weariness reign.
I wish to get up again, fully in your glory, fully in your name.
So that I may rise with you every day to sing of your goodness to me.
My father in heaven I shall so say, you have been faithful in everyway.
Oh Father ,my Father
Find me here again
In the wisp of Your willow tree
Keeping Yourself so close to me
Your presence twinkles like stars above
Radiating glory like a bumble bee’s buzz
So simple, yet so majestic
How could anyone look away?
Kindhearted and true
Lord, even ocean’s blue you outweigh,
And you always outshine the brightest day
So big, vast, and good
So much more than I ever knew
We compare our creator to His creation
Singing songs of His beauty using His oceans and forests
Describing the melody of His voice like the chirping of a bird in the genesis of spring
He’s compared to daffodils and daisies,
And seen as a Lion and a Lamb.
What will it be like when there are no more similes, but simply metaphors?
Ones that speak of the Lord's unique beauty, incomparable to anything we’ve ever seen.
Like a symphony you reign
With majesty and delight
The sound of a violin cries
And the thunder of a drum pours
A clink of a triangle sings
The shout of a trumpet yelps
All together in perfect harmony
Singing praises to the Holy One
Who is unlike any other
Holy holy holy, is the Lord God Almighty
Who goes before me
And leads me in his way
Every day
I have Him to trust
And everyday
I have Him to love
I am thankful for this alone
No other, for my sins, could atone
A flower blooms
Delightful beginnings
My father is growing me
Like a field of lilies
Soft and elegant
Yet captivating and true
In the field I am but of few:
Simple origin and reluctant race
But yet water still somehow flows
And my flourishing petals somehow still grows
For the Lord sees who I can be
And counts me more marvelous than that of rose
For I am in his image
A creation most truly divine if I embark the nature of my father
You’re like dew on a blade of grass, wishing you were rain.
Do you not know dew has a purpose as well? One that rain can never obtain
My God, my God
You are so kind.
Hold me in Your arms
So sweet, so divine.
Like a mother bear fighting for her little cub,
You hold me tight, so snug, all bundled up.
In Your protection, no matter what comes, it will not defeat me.
For in you I have been set free!
To roam about like a tadpole, with new slippery flippers
I know it is my Father who has made me so chipper.
A kind and gentle Father You are,
Yet strong, mighty, and steadfast You are.
I am thankful, my Father,
I have someone like You.
To watch over me,
In all that I do.
I am not overcome by shame
For Love and Mercy flow through my veins
For the Lord has filled me with His righteousness
In His presence I will remain
Let me see you
Let me feel you all around
Let me know you
Let me love you
In you I am found
Help me lord, to see, you are here with me
Dwelling with in me the very between
A space is made for you won’t you come
This vacant spot in my chest
Has been filled, always filled, with your love
Earth sings God’s praises and goodness.
Let us have ears to hear its beautiful tune!
For the flowers whisper melodies of triumph and growth.
How I do hope we desire to hear every note, in all its splendor.
God let Your Spirit never depart
Let it hold me like a seal
Giving me words that desire to heal
With a love outpouring from my heart
Let me be led in Your way
I wish to know You more
Let Your Spirit reign true to my core
And let me never be led astray
These fears consume me
Telling me your not near
But it’s Your Light that shines through
In the darkness, You reign true
It calls out to who You are
And brings Light to my scars
In the silence, I await
For my Father to come
Break down walls, break down gates
Whatever it takes to be alone with You
I wish for the comfort of Your solitude
To rise to the tallest mountain
Or travel to the deepest valley
Wherever it may be
You are who I search for, in the chaos that surrounds me
Your stillness, strengthens me
Your calmness, quiets me
You presence, fills me
So I come, time and time again
To my Father
To the comfort of pure silence.
The Lord is intentional and good
Therefore I follow Him, anyone would
Although the path is often narrow, I find delight knowing He cares for me, much like the sparrow.
So I will say, I am thankful for His guidance, and His loving eye upon me.
For it fills me with a steadfast and abundance feeling of glee.
My God is my refuge where I find my strength,
And to find me when lost, He would go to any length.
So praise, forever be on my lips.
Declaring of a love I have experienced.
